Hu Yan Led A Team to Meituan Dianping Integrated Command Center for Investigation

 

On the afternoon of August 19, Hu Yan, deputy head of the Dongcheng District Government, led a team to the Meituan Dianping Integrated Command Center to investigate the promotion of cultural tourism industry and scientific urban governance. Main leaders of the Bureau of Culture and Tourism and the Bureau of Science, Technology and Information of the district participated in the meeting. 

At the meeting, the leaders of the district Bureau of Culture and Tourism introduced the brand-building, and cultural and tourism resources regarding “The Heart of Beijing”, the construction of smart tourism platforms, how the bureau assisted companies in resuming work and production during the epidemic, and the effort made in quality and consumption promotion, etc. Chen Rongkai, vice president of Meituan Dianping, gave a detailed report on the work of cultural tourism brain and smart tourism. 

According to Hu Yan, the investigation is quite necessary, and it is of great significance to learn about what Meituan Dianping is doing, what it can do, and what it will do. The cultural tourism industry should be actively linked up with the high-tech industry to provide services for local enterprises, scenic spots, and residents. First, close communication between the cultural tourism industry and the Intangible Cultural Heritage Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism should be maintained to well inherit, protect and utilize the intangible cultural heritage. The participation of social forces should be increased to cooperate with government in brand-building activities with intangible cultural heritage as the core of products. Second, big data platform and other resources are supposed to be well used to empower the cultural tourism industry, and promote smart tourism. Third, based on  precise positioning to form a fixed publicity system for products, and take cultural tourism as an entry point to promote market transformation and drive regional consumption.
