Dongcheng District’s 1st Attendance to IMEX Frankfurt 2011 Effectively Boosted Our Tourism Image to the Outside World (with one picture).

From 24th to 26th May, IMEX (the Worldwide Exhibition for Incentive Travel, Meetings & Events) Frankfurt 2011 was held in Frankfurt, Germany, a well-known exhibition city. This is the first time for the delegation of Dongcheng Tourism Bureau to attend this kind of exhibition, showcasing Dongcheng District’s tourism resources for incentive travel to professionals in the field of incentive travel all over the world.
As an integrate part of China stand, the stand of Dongcheng District was visualized with the Hall of Supreme Harmony of the Forbidden City, grand and solemn. On the spot, literatures in English language promoting Dongcheng’s rich cultural tourism resources and facilities for incentive travel were handed out, including Manuals for Meeting Planners in Dongcheng, Beijing Dongcheng Excellent Travel Guideline, Travel Map of Dongcheng District and Four-sided Courtyards at the Foot of the Imperial City etc. The exhibiters were keen on the literatures, professionally edited and detailed in content. They were all enthusiastic. All together, 300 literatures were handed out. The Foreign experts in international meeting industry of Dongcheng District Sean J. Mahoney, Global Vice President of Corporate and Incentive Sales, Silversea, Gary Grimmer, an Australian company GainingEdge's CEO, showed up at the stand in person, and they praised Dongcheng’s efforts in promoting incentive travel. On IMEX, most distinctive part of the exhibition, Hosted Buyers, over ten professional buyers with appointments through the official website in advance, arrived at the stand of the Tourism Bureau of Dongcheng District, and they discussed with the staff face to face in the consulting area. Pointed promotions were conducted. Buyers from countries such as Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, the US and Russia, including well-known brands in world tourism industry like Bugatti, Hilton Hotel and Kempinski Hotel, all hope to hold various conferences and incentive travel activities in Dongcheng District, where the culture of Beijing as an ancient capital can be best experienced.
IMEX Frankfurt and EIBTM Barcelona are the most important special exhibition for conference and incentive travel, and well-known special exhibition worldwide, which is only open to the insiders. IMEX Frankfurt has attracted over 3,500 exhibitors from 150 countries.
