Ten members of the delegation of Sino-Japan Friendship Parliamentarians Union of Muhei District of Tokyo, Japan, led by Mr. Erzhigongqijji, the former speaker of the Muhei District Parliament of Tokyo as well as the current president of the Parliamentarians Union (Mr. Yitengxizhao, the current speaker of the Muhei District Parliament is acting as the honorary president of the delegation), has made an amicable visit to our District from the 4th to the 5th of July. The delegation has been warmly welcomed and supplied with discussions and meetings by Mr. Feng Xi, the District Director of National People's Congress, Mr. Zhao Zhongyuan, the Standing Deputy Director of District People's Congress, and Ms. Gao Guiqiang, the Deputy Director of District People's Congress on behalf of the District People's Congress and the District Government. The both sides have reviewed the long-standing friendly relationship established twenty-one years ago, and reached primary consensus in terms of the friendly communication and cooperation between the Dongcheng District and the Muhei District. The Delegation tells us that, at the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the normalization of Sino-Japan relations, it is a great honor to visit the Dongcheng District and witness the remarkably rapid changes of the Dongcheng District (previously, the part of the Chongwen District) as an amicable District. They also wish to see a continually prosperous China and maintain the forever lasting friendship between the Dongcheng District and the Munhei District, expecting to extend to the relationship between China and Japan. The delegation has presented the autograph letter of Mr. Qingmuyinger, the president of the Muhei District, to Mr. Niu Qingshan, the president of our District.

The delegation has visited the Guangming Primary School and also hilled up and watered the Sino-Japan Friendship Cherry Blossom Garden in the Longtan Park, which symbolizes the evergreen and sustainable friendship between the two districts. We also arranged the delegation to look in the Wangfujing Business Area of our District as well as some other facilities for business and recreation. The discussions and exchange of views have been organized as well between the delegation and the Wangfujing Construction and Administration Office.
