Remarkable Advances in District and Municipal Science Bases

  There is a significant increase in the number of district and municipal science bases in the year of 2013. So far, a total of 26 science bases including 5 newly added bases such as Chinese Museum of Women and Children, Beijing Institute of Ophthalmology are up to 10.7% of the whole city.
  Dongcheng District Science and Technology Commission started construction work of science bases to integrate regional resources and exert their roles in science education venues and facilities. The commission formulated and promulgated “Dongcheng District Provisional Measures of Naming Science Base,” and called for member units of Science Joint Council and resource units to carry out reporting. After a series of steps such as auditing materials, on-spot check, expert evaluation and online publicity, The Cloisonné Art Museum, Longtan Park, Flower Community Museum were named 2013-2014science bases in Dongcheng District. District Science and Technology Commission will give each base 50,000 Yuan as financial support.
