The Contest of 2014 Beijing Yangko Dance Successfully Held

  On February 5, the contest of 2014 Beijing Yangko Dance (finals), sponsored by Dongcheng No. 1 Cultural Center came to a close at the Fashion theater of the center.

  After fierce competition and comprehensive review of contest judges, Deep Night by Shuangxiu dance team from Hepingli street, ramming mare's milk by Red Cube from Chaoyang District and Happy Ba Lang by happy art group from Beixinqiao street won the first prize; six programs headed by “Love of Veterans”, which was performed by military hawk, the dance troupe of Jingshan street won the second prize; Nine programs led by Joyful Prairie won the won the third prize. What’s more, there are three types of individual awards. To be exact, the best creative award goes to Deep Night, the best performance award goes to ramming mare's milk and "the best clothing award goes to Happy Ba Lang. The teams representing Beixinqiao Street, Jingshan Street, Hepingli Street, Dongzhimen Street , Jiaodaokou Street , Donghuashi Cultural Center and Chaoyang District , Tongzhou District won organization award. Bai’ Ang, the curator No. 1 Cultural Center, Wang Yi, the party branch secretary, Bai Ying, the deputy director and other leaders such as Jing Yi-ping attended the ceremony and presented awards to the winners.

  Beijing Yangko dance contest is the highlight of 2014 New Year Fete. The contest adheres to the principle of “people’s stage, people’s participation”. All are welcome to take part in the activity regardless of their ages, regions, cultures, professions and other aspects. The contest lasting 5 days in total started at Fashion Theater on January 2 of lunar calendar. Forty teams consisting of nearly 640 players took part in the contest. The dancing to the cheerful beats clearly demonstrated people’s longing for happy life and their positive attitude towards the future.
