On the morning of April 11, the lantern making training facing the professional recovery centers, produced by Dongcheng Disabled Persons Federation, started its courses. 40 staff and trainee representatives from 17 centers attended the training.
The training will last for 10 days, and invited professional teachers to the class to share the skills in hand-made lanterns and semi-finished assembly. In the class, the teacher introduced the types of lanterns and presented the making process, and then guided the trainees to make their own lanterns by using a variety of materials.
It is hoped that this training will bring new ideas for the centers and help the centers explore more easy-to-operate activities for the disabled people, so as to improve their working capacity.
