Suzhou Community Holds Charity Auction

Recently, a Charity Auction was held in the Jianguomen Street Suzhou Community. More than 100 local CPC members, residents and representatives of institutions participated in the auction.

Before the auction, the residents came early to carefully learn the rules, and chose their favorite items. The first auction item was a pair of Jingdezhen famille-rose porcelain vase. When the auctioneer was introducing the auction rules and details of the items, everyone was ready to raise their cards. After the auctioneer announced: "The auction starts now!", many bidders raised their cards. When the auction price went up, the atmosphere also reached a climax. Famous paintings, small household appliances and handcrafts were also favored by the bidders. Everyone enjoyed the process of contributing their love.

After several rounds of intense auction, there were almost nothing left. A resident holding what he had just bought said: "By participating in this event, we not only get things that we like, but also help others, so as to pass our happiness to them." Suzhou Community Party Secretary Guo Hua said: "This year, the numbers of auction items and participants have both increased, indicating that more and more people are involved in the charity activity. The community will continue to innovate the form of the activity and continue the charity auction."

This was the 3rd Charity Auction in Suzhou Community. Residents brought their treasured antiques, calligraphy and paintings, household appliances, handicrafts as auction items. After the auction, the community will use the money collected to establish a community charitable fund to help the disadvantaged groups in the region.
