The Inauguration of the 7th Children’s Drama Festival of China

  At the night of July 7th, China National Theatre for Chidlren and over 600 live audiences of different ages witnessed the opening of the 7th Children's Drama Festival of China along with the excellent performance of growth drama Goat does not eat Grass of Paradise newly produced by the theatre.

  With the theme "to build the Chinese dream through lightening childlike innocence and shaping the future", the festival this year lasts for 45 days, presenting exhibition and performance of excellent plays, international exchange of children's drama and Drama Fiesta activities. Twenty-seven children's drama groups of nine countries and regions will give 206 performances of 48 plays for the festival, benefiting 160 thousand audiences.

  The chairman of the organizing committee of the 7th Children's Drama Festival of China and the director of China National Theatre for Children Xiaodong Yin said that the festival of this year will continue to adhere to the principle of high quality, low price and public welfare. The festival will launch theme activity of opening the door of drama for the first time for the integration of watching and experiencing drama; set up international cooperation and development forum for children's drama for the first time to conduct symposium of issues of common concerns in the field of children's drama across the world; hold master class of children's drama education for the sharing of international drama education experience and launch summer camp together with the Palace Museum for the first time with cultural and art theme of watching children's drama while visiting the Palace Museum to accompany children in spending a summer of art.
