The theme of the publicity activity was "Develop Grain and Oil Science and Technology, Promote High-quality Products, and Guarantee the Security of Staple Food".

This activity aims at fully implementing the strategic requirements of the Central Government to increase the supply of high-quality green agricultural products, and launch publicity activity to introduce and popularize grain science and technology along with the "Quality Grain and Oil of China" Action Plan.

According to the official of Dongcheng District Commission of Commerce, with the background of building Beijing into a "world first class capital of harmony and livability", and with the support of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Grain, the Dongcheng District government endeavors to actively promote the optimization of grain consumption structure, enhance the good reputation of traditional and time-honored grain companies and their brand, increase the awareness of healthy grain consumption among people, and meet people's needs for nutritious and diversified grain.

This activity focuses on grain industrial chain, and aims at publicizing knowledge on the nutrition and health of grain as well as reasonable consumption, and promoting the quality of grain and oil products provided by enterprises. In response to the theme of "Quality Product, Quality Staple Food", Tongrisheng Grain Store, a time-honored grain store in Beijing, displayed high-quality grain and oil products, and offered onsite coaching of making zongzi (a traditional Chinese food, made of glutinous rice with stuffing). The organizer also distributed over 600 free publicity brochures and souvenirs that would meet the needs of citizens.
