Dongcheng District Celebrates the Army Day

  2018 marks the 91st anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. In order to further improve the Double Support (support the army and give preferential treatment to the families of the armyman and martyrs, and support the government and cherish the people) between the army and people and heighten the awareness and love of the officers and soldiers quartering in Dongcheng District for the District, on July 26th 2018, the Double Support Office, Dongsi Sub-district Office, Longtan Sub-district Office, Huashi Nanli East District Pension Service Station of the District co-organized an military-people exchange activity themed on Making Dongcheng District a Better Place. More than 20 cadres in charge of Double Support work from the political departments of the Army, Air Force, Navy and Armed Police, accompanied by the Party Secretary of the Civil Affairs Bureau, inspected the renovation of Hutong in Dongcheng District, the governance of alleys, the residents' self-governance and the aged care service, and carried out exchanges at a following seminar.

  Through the military-people activities, the officers and soldiers stationed in the District unanimously stated that they would fully participate and support the economic and social development of Dongcheng District for the creation of a Double-Support model in this area.

  In order to further improve the environment of the streets and alleys in Dongcheng District and  the living standards for the residents, the army and the community will join hands to make a greater contributions to Making Dongcheng District a Better Place campaign, so that an excellent performance can be achieved to repay the local Party Committee, the government and local residents of the District.
