Dongcheng District Promoted the Grid-based Shared BikeMode

In order to better solve the disorderly parking of shared bicycles on the streets of Dongcheng District, the District Grid-based Services Center gave full play to the advantages of grid platform supervision and explored the solution to the problem of shared bicycle management together with the District City Management Committee and the sharing bicycle enterprises. Through the "Dongcheng Grid" APP, the sharing bicycle enterprises were brought under the standardized management of the platform. Besides, the shared bicycle problems were classified properly, so that relevant complaints received by various public complaining and reporting channels were distributed to the corresponding enterprises according to the ownership of vehicles for timely disposal, and related issues would also be delivered to the competent departments of the industry.

The resolving model was tested in two streets during the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and achieved good results. At present, the model has been formally extended to the whole district. Next, the grid-based services center will focus on tracking and analyzing the case resolving of each enterprise to provide valuable decision-making reference for the competent departments. It will also explore to realize information sharing of the city's shared bicycle supervision system, promote communication and consultation between urban management departments and shared bicycle enterprises, and advance distinctive standardized development of shared bicycles in Dongcheng District. By doing so, the positive effects of shared bicycles on urban development can be fully tapped, while the negative effects can be minimized, so that a better service will be delivered to our people.
