The 15th “Lifelong Learning for All Week” Was Launched in Dongcheng District

  On November 13, the opening ceremony of the 15th "Lifelong Learning for All Week of Dongcheng District" was held at Beijing International Vocational Education School, attended by Du Haijiang, Secretary of the Party committee of the Palace Museum, Wang Zhonghua, Deputy Director of Dongcheng District People's Congress, Shao Heping, Vice President of Beijing Open University, Wang Dongjiang, Director of the Vocational and Adult Education Department of Beijing Municipal Education Commission, and Li Guoping, Dean of Beijing Development Institute of Peking University, as well as over 150 representatives from Overseas Chinese History Museum of China, committees, offices and bureaus of Dongcheng District, sub-district offices, citizen learning bases of school districts, citizen occupation experience centers, citizen learning teams and stationed institutions.

  At the opening ceremony, the plan of the 15th "Lifelong Learning for All Week of Dongcheng District" was interpreted; awards were given to the groups that won the title of National or Beijing Lifelong Learning Brand Project and individuals winning the "2019 Beijing Learning Star for Citizens"; "2019 Beijing Citizen Lifelong Learning Demonstration Base", "National Professional Education Lecture Hall of Peking University Imperial Academy" and "Zhou Haikuan's Studio for Ancient Paintings and Calligraphy Decoration and Repair" were initiated.

  In the 15th "Lifelong Learning for All Week of Dongcheng District", 11 theme activities such as the Computer Application Competence Competition for the middle-aged and old people, Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition, and the Amateur Chess Competition would be held. Demonstrating community education and the results of citizen learning would create a strong learning atmosphere and establish a model of lifelong learning, thus continuously promoting the construction of a learning-oriented Dongcheng.
